Standing
on the Hill

Geschrieben Karfreitag 1995 auf dem Weg zu Iza
Standing on the Hill,
overlooking my
land,
I feel the wind as it whispers tales from far away.
It
tells my stories from the past, of ancient gods and times,
and
listening I ask:
Why
don´t the people know the wind,
why don´t they know
the soil?
The fire, the water, too, are gone.
Our Mother Earth
needs love.
Standing on the hill,
with the rain
in my hair
I think about the waters, the waters of life.
From
the ocean wide, up to the sky,
it washes away my tears.
Refrain
Standing on the Hill,
while the sun
lights my face,
I wonder what this earth would be darkened deep in
space.
The warning rays of Bel just waken up my life.
I stare
at them and say:
Refrain
Standing on the Hill,
with my feet
both in the ground
I think of all the people being earth and
soul.
Having inspired the elements in us
we all will finally
say:
Let´s
make the people know the wind,
Let´s make them know the
soil.
Bring back the knowledge of our life.
Begin the circle
once more.
